March into Spring: We're in Suffolk!

We've reached Suffolk!

Since last week, our members have logged a whopping 238.48 miles, taking us from Margate in Kent to Felixstowe in Suffolk. We are well on our way up the East Coast and heading (roughly) North! How much further will we get before the end of the month? Only one week to go ...

Days 18 to 24

Margate to Felixstowe

238 miles

Marta's walks around Ashton and Harbourside took us along the beach at Margate and to Westgate Bay and Bishopstone Cliffs.

Then, Laura C passed through Herne Bay and into the pretty town of Whitstable.

Vikkie and Mary took some lovely pics on their walk at Brandon Hill whilst Anne's Winscombe walk brought us to the Isle of Sheppey.

Janet's hike to the beach, Lorraine's jaunt around Mere and Ashleigh's harbourside stroll saw us into Chatham Historic Dockyard and past Rochester Cathedral.

Laura C and Mary then took us through the RSPB Cliffe Pools area (a draw for birdlovers!) and Ashleigh's Bath Skyline hike passed Tilbury Fort in Gravesend.

Vikkie bypassed London Gateway and around the Thames Estuary on her Leigh Woods walk, whilst Mary and Harriet took us to Southend-on-Sea (see Harriet's pic of her walk at Almondsbury).

Georgia's loop of the Bath skyline, Zoë's walk round the downs and Vikkie's Clifton stroll passed through Burnham-on-Crouch, whilst Janet's hike round Dyrham (see her pic of alpacas!) and Laura C's stroll along the canal in Bath took us into Bradwell Waterside.

Becky's walk at Blaise Castle and Mary's Bedminster run saw us to Maldon, home of salt. Lorraine's Stourbridge hike and Laura C's walk through Monkton Combe took in the sights of Blackwater Estuary Nature Reserve.

Mary, Laura, Marta and Ashleigh's urban walks then brought us to Lee-over-Sands and onwards to Clacton Pier.

Finally, it was Lorraine's walk round Stourhead, and the urban pavement-pounding of Mary, Laura C and Vikkie in Bristol and Bath that brought us to Felixstowe.

Keep logging those miles folks - don't forget we've got a prize for the two people who walk the most miles this month!
